Please be advised that the Manchester Utility Authority will be commencing its Annual Fall Hydrant Monday through Thursday beginning Monday, October 1, 2018 between the hours of 8:00 am - 12:00 am. The flushing program is expected to continue for approximately four weeks ending October 29, 2018. These are many of the steps we are taking to improve the quality of our water. This street is off Manchester Ave and Robert Street and near Linda Vista Ave., Rothesay Ave. and Terrace Ave. Please take proper precautions and be sure children are supervised and pets not left outside. Interested in learning more about redevelopment zone
If residents wish to inform themselves about information regarding the redevelopment zone and the possibility of additional townhouses/ apartments on Belmont Avenue, the Mayor will be happy to meet with them anytime. All the information regarding the above, is at the Municipal Building, such as charts and photo renderings. The Mayor would suggest meeting at the Municipal Building, pick a night or afternoon, and he will make himself available. You can also attend the third Wednesday of the month Mayor and Council Meeting or attend the Planning Board Meeting on the second and fourth Thursday. Response to need for Ambulance Coverage:
At the Council Meeting on October 18th, the Borough of North Haledon and the City of Paterson entered into a Shared Services Agreement for Emergency Medical Services with the Paterson Fire Department. The Paterson Fire Department will be responding to all ambulance calls in the Borough of North Haledon, except for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and midnight, when the North Haledon Volunteer Ambulance has a duty crew. Whenever possible, patients will be given a choice of destination medical centers located in Paterson or Wayne. Patients’ requests to be transported to medical facilities in other New Jersey municipalities will be considered providing the request does not compromise the health of the patient. Paterson will bill customers using its emergency medical services through customary billing procedures, and will accept assignment from the patient’s insurance company, but will not balance bill, and if the patient does not have insurance coverage, Paterson will not send the patient a bill.
